23 Jewel 60 Hour Bunn Special 163a ( Both the Original Boxes & Tag ! ) - Sorry - It's Sold
This is one of the best railroad watches ever made. This amazing historical treasure dates all the way back to 1931 and is an extraordinary timepiece. It is very impressive when held in your hand. It is in a magnificent highly polished gold-filled Bunn Special model 107 case. The entire watch is in excellent condition. The movement has 23 RUBY jewels and is clearly marked 163A. This high precision timepiece is extremely rare with only 1800 ever being made. To find one in both of the original boxes is unheard of. We know of no others in existence that have the original box and tags with matching numbers. This unbelievable watch is adjusted to temperature and 6 positions with gold balance screws and train wheels. It comes complete with a 60 hour motor barrel, Elinvar hairspring and nickel plates. It looks like new, even though it really an old railroad classic. As you will see it has a NEARLY PERFECT DOUBLE-SUNK 60 HOUR 23 JEWEL PORCELAIN DIAL. The crisp clean hour & minute and sweep second hands are perfect. It runs well, keeping perfect time. I wound this last night and it's not a minute off ! It was recently examined by a master watchmaker, cleaned and oiled, and given the highest marks in every category. This is an excellent example of American craftsmanship and a true collectible as the supply of these watches has stopped while the demand among collectors continues to rise. THIS WATCH WILL CONTINUE TO APPRECIATE EACH YEAR. You will not only have a beautiful timepiece but also a treasure to pass down for generations to come.
