This amazing historical pocket watch dates all the way back to 1925!!!  This original high grade railroad 60 HOUR BUNN SPECIAL has 21 ruby jewels in gold settings, a GOLD CENTER WHEEL and is ADJUSTED TO TEMPERATURE AND 6 DIFFERENT POSITIONS. It has just been taken out of our safe for your consideration, professionally serviced by our watchmaker ( cleaned, oiled and regulated ) and it is running really strong. The ORIGINAL DOUBLE-SUNK DIAL looks perfect, but, may not be, as it has not been inspected under a magnifying glass. It is a very nice Bunn Special dial. The ORIGINAL BUNN SPECIAL RAILROAD CASE is very nice, almost perfect with the smallest hints of wear. Both the bezel and the back lid screw on and off with ease. It's a great case. It runs well, keeping very good time. ( RAILROAD TIME . . . straight up and down on our Vibrograph timing machine ). Overall this is an outstanding ORIGINAL railroad watch that will continue to increase in value. To illustrate this point I pulled out an older guide from 1996 and the top book then was $275. The 2003 guide list it at $800. Not a bad investment huh??? Now if your interested - PAY ATTENTION to this: We ran a search of completed on eBay and found that of the 60 hour Bunn Specials in original condition the average price was $450. We honestly believe the condition of ours is better than average . . PLUS ours has been serviced. Now here is something the hard core collectors will know that you may not. This is a TYPE II.  I will take a moment to explain. There are 3 types of this 60 hour Bunn. The story is as follows:  When Illinois originally came out with the 60 hour model ( model I - with 60 hour on the barrel bridge) they were a little scared and did not advertise it heavily because they were afraid the new 60 hour mainspring while lasting longer on a single wind would breaker sooner due to it being a thinner mainspring. They later came to realize the newer alloy material they switched to would be MUCH stronger and nicknamed the UNBREAKABLE mainspring. 60 hour fever caught on BIG TIME. Now Illinois moved to advertise their new model heavily and moved the 60 HOUR print to the top of the train bridge plate ( type III ). Here is the break down: Before the big break through they had produced 9,100 type I models. After the breakthrough they produced 86,000 model III's !!!! But what about this TYPE II. Here's the story: In between switching from TYPE I to TYPE III Illinois still had many of the 60 HOUR barrel bridges left from first run but wanted to promote the 60 HOUR better on the top of the movement. They used the old barrel bridges and the new 60 HOUR print on the new train bridges. Thus the TYPE II sports two 60 HOUR markings on both the pillar plates and is the rarest of the 3 with only 7,000 being produced. Needless to say when you do find 60 HOUR Bunn Specials for sale you are almost always looking at the type III. Let's go just another step further. As you might know 60 HOUR Bunn specials are highly collectible. Every Illinois collector wants one. When you see an average 60 HOUR model selling for $450 it is not a TYPE I or TYPE II. To illustrate this point consider this: Of the people who can afford to spend $500 on an antique railroad pocket watch only 86,000 can have the opportunity to own the 60 HOUR Bunn Special TYPE III. Of that group of spenders only 9,100 of can have the TYPE I and they must flex their buying power. The final group of spenders will realize an opportunity when they see one.

Regardless of what you pay now in a few years you will not be able to get this watch in this same condition for anywhere near today's price. Think about it.
