B.W. RAYMOND from 1890 ( Nice Double-Sunk Dial and Fancy Hands ! ) - $175.00

Almost a perfect 100 ++ yr. old pocket watch by the Elgin National Watch Co. U.S.A. of Elgin, Ill. This amazing historical treasure dates all the way back to 1890 and is an extraordinary timepiece. It is very impressive when held in your hand. It is in a magnificent highly polished case, both the bezel and the back lid screw on and off with ease. The entire watch is in excellent  condition. The gilded 15 jewel B.W. Raymond movement is a grade 77 with gold jewel settings and while Elgin did make over 55,000,000 pocket watches only 35,000 were of this very collectible grade. This old timekeeper is still running very strong after all these years. It looks like new, even though it is really an old classic. The watch has a nice scratch free crystal. As you will see it has it's ORIGINAL MINT DOUBLE-SUNK PORCELAIN DIAL and is complete with FANCY HANDS. The crisp clean hour & minute and sweep second hands are perfect. It runs well, keeping perfect time. I wound this last night and I don't think its a minute off ! It was recently examined by a master watchmaker, cleaned and oiled, and given high marks in every category. It’s hard to imagine that this watch is OVER a 100 years old. This is an excellent example of American craftsmanship and a true collectible as the supply of these watches has stopped while the demand among collectors continues to rise.  You will not only have a beautiful timepiece but also a treasure to pass down for generations to come.
