Almost a perfect railroad pocket pocket watch by the Elgin National Watch Co. of Elgin Ill. This amazing historical treasure dates to 1921 and is an extraordinary timepiece. It is very impressive when held in your hand. It is in a magnificent highly polished gold-filled railroad case and has a very interesting design. The entire watch is in excellent condition. The 21 GOLD jewel setting grade 454 Father Time movement is adjusted to 5 positions and has BEAUTIFUL demaskeen all over it. This old railroad pocket watch is still running strong after all these years. It looks like new, even though it is really an old classic. The watch has a nice scratch free crystal. As you will see it has a VERY NICE ORIGINAL ( very near mint ) DOUBLE-SUNK MONTGOMERY porcelain dial. The crisp clean hour & minute and sweep second hands are perfect. It runs well, keeping perfect time. I wound this last night and I don't think its a minute off ! It was recently examined by a master watchmaker, cleaned and oiled, and given high marks in every category. This is an excellent example of American craftsmanship and a true collectible as the supply of these high grade railroad watches has stopped while the demand among collectors continues to rise.
