Almost a perfect old RAILROAD pocket watch by the Illinois Watch Co. of Springfield, IL. This amazing historical treasure dates all the way back to 1926 and is an extraordinary timepiece. It is very impressive when held in your hand. It is in a magnificent highly polished BUNN SPECIAL model 29 case. The entire watch is in excellent condition. The 23 jewel Bunn Special 60 HOUR movement is complete with ruby jewels in raised gold settings, is adjusted to temperature and 6 positions, has gold balance screws and train wheels, a jeweled motor barrel, nickel demaskeened plates with red filled engraving and the rayed ( fourth ) pattern. This RAILROAD CLASSIC is still running strong after all these years. The watch has a nice scratch free crystal. As you will see it has a very nice ORIGINAL DOUBLE-SUNK 23 JEWEL 60 BUNN SPECIAL glass enamel porcelain dial. It runs well, keeping perfect time. I wound this last night and I don't think its a minute off ! It was recently examined by a master watchmaker, cleaned and oiled, and given high marks in every category. This is an excellent example of American craftsmanship and a true collectible as the supply of these HIGH GRADE RAILROAD pocket watches has stopped while the demand among collectors continues to rise.
